Troy Sneed’s impact on gospel music is unforgettable. As a celebrated recording artist, composer, producer, and owner of a gospel label, he garnered many awards. His presence on the Billboard charts was constant from 2006, with hits such as “The Struggle is Over,” to 2017, featuring songs like “Kept by His Grace” and “Taking it Back.”
Troy Sneed’s death in April 2020 due to Covid-19 complications was deeply felt. However, his music endures, providing comfort and inspiration to many. Though Troy is no longer with us, his musical spirit remains a source of solace and encouragement. (Carpenter/PR)
Emtro Gospel, the record label founded by Troy Sneed, has recently re-released his song “All is Well,” which now includes vocals from his youngest son, Trey Sneed. I had recently had the opportunity to talk to Trey about his dad, how the idea of the re-release happened, and healing through the grief.
Trey mentioned that these days, he remembers his dad with happiness instead of sorrow. He realizes that the bond they shared, along with the wisdom and affection his father instilled in him, has crafted the supportive community of love that surrounds him now.
“All Is Well” is available on all digital music platforms.
